Mornings set the tone for the rest of the day. In the rush of alarms, notifications, and to-do lists, it’s easy to lose touch with yourself before the day has even begun. That’s why a short, 5-minute grounding meditation can be a powerful tool. It creates guided meditation script a moment of stillness to reconnect with your body, focus your mind, and plant the seeds of clarity and intention for the day ahead.

Before you begin, find a quiet space where you won’t be disturbed. Sit comfortably—either on a cushion or chair—with your spine tall but relaxed. Let your hands rest on your lap or knees, and gently close your eyes if you feel comfortable. This short meditation doesn’t require perfection; it only asks for presence.

Let’s begin with your breath. Inhale slowly through your nose for a count of four… pause… and exhale gently through your mouth for a count of six. Do this a few more times. With each breath, imagine yourself letting go of tension and gathering calm. As your breathing deepens, allow your shoulders to soften and your jaw to unclench. Feel the ground beneath you, steady and solid—reminding you that you are supported.

Now bring your attention to your body. Notice your feet, legs, hips, spine, and head. Without judgment, scan your body slowly from bottom to top, simply observing any sensations or tightness. If you feel tension, imagine your breath traveling there—softening, releasing, relaxing. This is not about fixing anything; it’s about being present with what is.

As you settle into this calm awareness, gently set your intention for the day. Ask yourself: What do i need today? Perhaps it’s patience, confidence, presence, or focus. Silently repeat your chosen word or phrase with each breath: I am calm. I am capable. I move with clarity. Let it sink in. This is the energy you’re choosing to carry into your day.

When you feel ready, slowly bring your awareness back to the room. Wiggle your fingers and toes. Gently open your eyes. Take one more deep breath, and smile. You’ve just given yourself the gift of grounded presence—proof that even five minutes of mindfulness can create a meaningful shift. Carry this calm into your day, and return to it whenever you need.
